The Cleveland Browns announced Wednesday that they have signed WR Javon Wims and DE Isaac Rochell.
Javon Wims
Javon Wims has spent time with the Chicago Bears and Las Vegas Raiders. A University of Georgia alum, he was a 7th round selection of the Bears in 2018.
In 33 regular season games (7 starts), Wims has caught 28 passes on 26 targets for 1 TD.
Isaac Rochell
Isaac Rochell was also a 7th round selection. The Los Angeles Chargers selected Rochell with the 225th overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft out of Notre Dame. Rochell remained with the Chargers until 2020 and then spent time with the Indianapolis Colts.
In 63 regular season games (9 starts), Rochell has recorded 91 career tackles, 15 QB hits, 9.5 sacks, and a safety.
Impact of Signings
Both Javon Wims and Isaac Rochell add much needed depth in positions of need. Defensive Line and Wide Receiver are arguably the weakest position rooms for the Cleveland Browns heading into the 2022 NFL Draft.
Neither signing will have a significant impact for the Browns aside from adding experience to key depth in their respective positions.
