The Cleveland Browns signed CB Denzel Ward to a record setting extension according to multiple sources. The 5-year $100.5 million contract extension makes Ward the highest paid CB in NFL history. The contract reportedly includes $71.25 million in guaranteed money.
Denzel Ward gets his record setting deal at just 24 years old. Ward is a Cleveland, OH native and attended the Ohio State University. The Cleveland Browns selected Ward with the fourth overall pick in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft.
Since being drafted by the Browns, Ward has been a member of the PFWA All-Rookie Team and has been selected to the Pro Bowl twice (2018, 2021).
